Oatmeal Waffle Recipe

Oatmeal adds texture and taste to an already delicious breakfast entrée as well as an unexpected nutritional boost. It is a superb addition to the traditional or Belgian waffle. In addition, oatmeal is an excellent source of fiber and nutrients. They say that fiber even reduces the risk of cancer. Oatmeal also contains many essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and that it is a good source of protein, complex carbohydrates and iron. At least so I heard :). So it can't hurt to put oatmeal into our waffle recipe.

When you mix all of the health benefits with the joy of sharing waffles with your loved ones, how can you resist this deliciously tempting breakfast treat?

Made these this morning, and they turned out really well. The batter is very thick, so the waffles are a bit heavy. My batch made 8 waffles on a large Mickey Mouse/Disney waffle maker.

The waffles were thick, but fluffy. I used vegetable oil instead of butter and added nutmeg and bananas. Thank you so much for the recipe.

I used quaker maple brown sugar oatmeal instead of adding cinnamon and they turned out very good.

Although we don't like to admit it, there are times when you need to eat something other than waffles. Here you can find a link to Amazon which is a great place to buy your first or your new waffle maker. Then you have other sites that also offer great recipes and we like to visit them sometimes when we are in a mood for something other that waffles. Which is not very often :). Enjoy!
