Buttermilk Waffle Recipe

You will need two cups of all purpose flour, two teaspoons of baking powder(cooking soda), one tea spoon of salt, two teaspoons of sugar, two cups of butter milk, two eggs (again, separate the whites from the yolk) and one tablespoon full of melted butter.

How to make yummy butter milk waffles from this butter milk waffle recipe you ask?
Step 1: This is called waffle-planing ahead. First you start your waffle iron. Ladies and gentlemen start you iron waffle makers :).

Step 2: Take egg whites and beat them until you get nice and smooth white fluffy stuff that looks like snow.

Step 3: Take a big bowl and put in 2 cups of all purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, one tea spoon of salt, and 2 teaspoons of sugar. Then add all the butter milk, melted butter and egg yolks and mix until there are no lumps left.

Step 4: Add the egg whites and gently mix them in. Just to spread them around, don't overdo it or you will ruin the effect (this is a small secret to make waffles softer).

Step 5: Put one cup of batter in the preheated iron waffle and close it. Yes we are hungry too, but it will take 2 loooooong minutes. Oh no! Are they ready yet? Waffles are ready! Leave them on a tray to cool down and then enjoy! We know we will. There will be 12 tasty yummy waffles on the plate when you are finished with this buttermilk waffle recipe (if you did not eat them while making new ones). Enjoy!

Your waffles are the best. We made them for mother's day and my mom loved them.

If you don't have buttermilk, then (common cooking knowledge, but helpful if you don't know) simply add 1 tbsp of lemon juice to each cup of (preferably) whole milk.

Do you use baking soda or baking powder?

Looks like a great recipe - but wondering if it's for a regular waffle iron or a belgium iron??? Thanks for any advice on this.

Just tried this one out with some changes and the waffles came out delicious!

I didn't have any buttermilk, so instead of it and the flour I used 2 cups of "buttermilk pancake mix", 2 cups of water, and 1/3 cups of coffee whitener.

Yum yum yum :)

Although we don't like to admit it, there are times when you need to eat something other than waffles. Here you can find a link to Amazon which is a great place to buy your first or your new waffle maker. Then you have other sites that also offer great recipes and we like to visit them sometimes when we are in a mood for something other that waffles. Which is not very often :). Enjoy!
